Out of all the things we thought of giving him, this one still stood out. It's personal and fun, and who wouldn't want to see themselves immortalized into a toy?! So, I went to work. As soon as I was done, I sent it over via priority mail (from Italy to California) and it got there in perfect timing, with days to spare for his special day. :)
Now, I need to finish up our whole family! :p It was really fun drawing someone I knew very well. I think it further motivated me to make sure the interpretation was right on the money. And I think our Pops really liked his mini me too...actually my mom might love it more. haha!
Anyway, cheers to you Dad! :) Even though you have a mini doppleganger, we know you're still one of a kind!
