Old Friends, New Friends...

tonight, my sister, our friends, and i took a trip out to L.A. and checked out an art show. David Flores' "18x24" showing at Munkyking was incredibly dope.

stepping in that shop was like going inside a time machine. it brought back a ton of memories...good ones...that made me just smile at all of it. the place got a facelift, a fresh new look, fresh paint, and FRRESSSH art on its walls. :) it was sweet. saw some old friends, friends who gave me an open door and the opportunity, the time to mentor me and encourage me, and just received some great energy from them.

it was excellent to go there with people who are passionate about what they do, dream big, and are excited about art, culture, and just life. that's the company i like to keep, and meeting such individuals is purely Godsend. :) with these gals, we're just scratching the surface with our visions, and i can't wait for what's in store in the future...

before leaving, my sister and i each walked away with limited prints from the artist and was able to shake his hand. David Flores has great style in his work, and is a nice guy *{thanks yoskay for introducing me. i can't believe he was your mentor. he must be so proud of you!}.

overall...a night filled with wonderful company, art, conversations, and it must be done again!
