If you saw a piece of art* that had you digging and admiring easily and it's at a very reasonable price, would you buy it then and there?
(but here's the dilemma...)
On the other hand, it is NOT A NEED but may very well be regrettable if the piece isn't bought. Of course, as an artist (and like many artists) we like to collect art. Where I'm getting at is...in today's economy, "starving artists" (to be more poetic) like myself are trying, if not should be more careful, on our sudden desires to buy works out there, no matter how much we want to.
*Would you buy a Billie Holiday limited edition screenprint by a prominent street artist?

Hi! I got your comment, and I missed the auction! I think I wouldn't have bought it tho, if I were going to spend $300 I would want to hold out for the most perfect one...which relates to your post about buying the Billie Holiday piece! My impulse is to buy, if I know I will love it for the rest of my life. And if the price is right! Otherwise, I would just try to forget I ever saw it! :)
