of the arts.

in my adventures and self-discovery... especially when it comes to my place in art, i've found it very easy to fall in love with works and artists--all it needs is a little soul, a little message, a little story. when it speaks directly to me, it's hard not to follow suit. the great part is, it allows me to get closer to figuring out what i like, what moves me, and maybe who i am as an artist.

after all, i believe that every bit of culture and influence we take in is reflected on the art we put out.

current inspirations:

the great Charles M. Schultz » caught a glimpse of a documentary of him sketching his beloved PEANUTS characters. floored is the word that best describes my reaction. i'm in awe of what he's brought to American comic strips and even our culture. his message through those very counted panels are just as prominent today as they were back then.

second, dj and illustrator kid koala » i'm still discovering his craft but i'm very excited to learn, see, and hear more of and from him.
